Conrad started competing in the famous Skip Barber school of racing in 2002 after being a mechanic on their race series for 2 years. After a good rookie season, he was invited to the "Big Scholarship" run-offs where he finished runner-up. In January 2003, after the run-offs, he started teaching full-time in the school’s computer car racing program. Conrad is based at the Skip Barber facility located in the world –famous Laguna Seca raceway in California .

Conrad didn't start drifting untill 2004 when a friend offered him the chance to drift at the D1 driver search. After a good showing there, Conrad competed in the 05 and 06 Formula Drift seasons. More notably, Conrad made an impressive debut at Formula Drift after an impressive runner-up outing at the third round of the 2005 series in Houston . Conrad outdrifted Calvin Wan, Taka Aono, and Tanner Foust before meeting up with drift prodigy Ken Gushi in the final round. Driving a S14 owned by fellow Formula D competitor Hubert Young and prepped by Motorsport Dynamics of Northern California , Conrad drifted toe-to-toe with Gushi and his supercharged Mustang to force one of the few One More Time runs of the weekend. In 07, due to his participation in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge, he only carried out a partial season of Formula Drift. In 2008, Conrad will once again to be competing in in the Tanaka Racing Corvette. Conrad’s ride in Singapore will be the RSR Honda S2000.
